How to use the Sunday Reflections journalling tool:

Step 1: Gratitude

Happiness, gratitude, contentment… these levels go up and down. Even the smallest thing is valid here. If you’re finding it difficult to manage a period of poor mental health, please consider visiting the resources page for more information on getting the support you deserve.

Step 2: Achievement

Likewise, your capacity for achievement will fluctuate each week. Be gentle with yourself. This exercise isn’t about self-comparison, it’s about taking a moment to congratulate yourself for doing what you could, whatever your productivity levels.

Step 3: Improvement

However your week turned out, take a moment to think of something, anything, that could have improved it. Big or small, it’s a positive practice to look at what you could have implemented (and can implement in future!) to give the week a further boost.

STEP 4: Affirmation

When writing your affirmation, keep in mind the thing that could have improved last week - is there a way to work that in, setting a forward-thinking, positive intention for the week ahead? For more inspiration, take a look at these thirty prompts for crafting an empowering affirmation.
